Individual Meat Draw tickets $5.  Mega Meat Pack tickets $5.   50/50 tickets – $5 for a strip of ten.  Draws start at 6pm.

Due to the high cost of groceries the cost is $15 for members; non-members pay $18.  And to accommodate the grocery shopping & prep, please call the Lounge, preferably by Thursday …  250-287-4990 …  to get your name onto the dinner list.

Here we are again, at the Eagles’ Lounge, ready to ‘rock ‘n roll’.  The drinks are cold & delicious, the music is live & the dance floor is beckoning you to get on board & boogie!  If the kitchen is available, the usual Pub Fare – Wings & Things, will be served.  Food order sheets are on the tables… cash only please.  50/50 tickets will be sold ($5 for a strip of ten) … draw happens at 6pm.  What a great way to spend part of the weekend.

AND THE L.A. DID IT AGAIN …

The Eagles Ladies Auxiliary donated $5,000 to the CR Hospital Auxiliary on June 15.  These funds will be used to purchase supplies for those undergoing Cancer Treatment, Diabetes Treatment & Heart Health Treatment services at the hospital Wellness Center.  Supplies include items such as insulin temperature regulators, blood pressure cuffs & thermometers amongst a myriad of other items supplied to provide care & comfort to those who utilize our hospital.

2026 BURSARIES …

The Aerie Bursaries are funded by the Eagles Friday Nite Meat Draw & managed by Barry & Ellen Nelson and Barbara Johnson.  This Fund is distributed at this time of year, to eligible secondary students who wish to further their education in the field of their choice, at the University or College level.  Congratulations to all the students who qualified … we wish you all the best in achieving your specific goals!

$1,500 was awarded to the following student from CARIHI Secondary School:

  1. Zuri Hendrickson
  2. Sofia Hutton
  3. Oscar Collazos
  4. Cole Pearson
  5. Fiona Lenahan
  6. Maese Shea
  7. Kai Jensen-West

 

$1,500 was awarded to the following students from Timberline Secondary School:

  1. Mike Otoo
  2. Brynn Wilson
  3. Rowan Wilson
  4. Brody Verley
  5. Myah Ramsey from Robron Centre

 

And not to be outdone … the Ladies Auxiliary also presented Bursaries in the total amount of $5,000 to the following students:

  2. Marcus Vandal from CARIHI Secondary
  3. Breanna Bettenson from Timberline Secondary

ON-GOING EVENTS …

RECOVERED PROGRAM BIKE SALE – EAGLE’S PARKING LOT

This happens the on the ‘LAST SUNDAY of every month in the spring / summer / early fall’ from 9am until 12 noon.  Big Al is there most Wednesdays … perhaps email him to confirm the time … normal time is noon until 4pm.

Reconditioned bikes, some wheelchairs, 3 & 4 wheel scooters.

All Units are CLEAN, INSPECTED & TESTED.

NEW NOTICE REGARDING FOOD, DRINKS, ETC.

  • OUTSIDE FOOD… Outside food from local food services & restaurants… are permitted to be brought into the Lounge, PROVIDEING THAT THERE IS NO FOOD SERVICE AVAILABLE FROM OUR KITCHEN, or any day after 8pm.

 

FOOD SERVICE DAYS will be posted on the BIG BOARD by/behind the BAR!  This is a temporary situation until we can get more Volunteers to assist in the food services.  Please be courteous & clean up any food related items, leftover food, dishes, cutlery, napkins, etc.

  • OUTSIDE BEVERAGES… outside beverages or snacks such as coffee, chips, etc … are not permitted.  These items are available at the bar.  
  • GLASSES, MUGS & BOTTLES OF WATERcan be purchased at the bar for $2.  A variety of non-alcoholic beverages are also available for sale.
  • BACKPACKS… are not permittedin the Lounge.

  1. “Just a quick word about Membership; May 31 was the cut-off & anyone who hasn’t paid their 2026 dues is considered delinquent & is not eligible for any of the benefits of a member in good standing.”
  2. “We are down to the last 14 days to renew our dues before you are dropped.  Once dropped, if you wish to rejoin, you will then have to pay a re-enrollment fee in addition to your dues.”

LADIES AUXILIARY NEW MEMBER PROPOSAL … Ladies, if you are proposing a new member to our Auxiliary, please note:

  • Your attendance at the LA meeting is mandatory when your application proposal for a new member is made.
  • Your attendance is also mandatory when the new member is initiated.
  • And it is your responsibility to contact the applicant regarding their initiation.
